FAQs

Mighty-Lok® FAQ Section:

A: A pad driver is a floor machine maintenance accessory that holds and secures floor pads, Flex Scrubs®, or bonnets to a rotary floor machine. It provides a stable surface that grips the pad during operation and allows the machine to transfer power evenly for scrubbing, stripping, polishing, or finishing. Malish pad drivers like Mighty-Lok® are engineered with features like polymeric hook faces that penetrate and hold a Flex Scrub® or pad securely while you work.

A: Yes. The terms “pad driver” and “pad holder” are often used interchangeably in commercial floor care. Both refer to an accessory that attaches to a rotary floor machine and secures a floor pad for scrubbing, stripping, polishing, or burnishing.

A: Select a pad driver that is 1 inch smaller than your floor machine’s stated size. For example, a 17” single disc machine typically requires a 16” pad driver. Always confirm your machine manufacturer’s recommended pad driver size before ordering.

A: Tufted pad drivers use durable strands to grip the pad and are compatible with a wide range of clutch plates and mounting systems. Polymeric pad drivers use a molded hook-style face for more aggressive pad engagement but require machines that utilize a 5-inch center hole configuration.

A: Mighty-Lok® is designed for use with clutch plates and mounting systems that utilize a 5-inch center hole.
Common compatible clutch plates include:
NP-9200, NP-47, NP-46, G-400X, G-400S, G-200MM, ANP-92, NP-83P, 4148PMB, ANP-16, ANP-154, NP-500, and ANP-200.
If your machine uses a non-5-inch mounting system, a tufted pad driver such as Pad-Lok™ should be selected instead.
If you’re unsure which clutch plate your machine uses, contact our team with your machine make and model, and we’ll help confirm compatibility before you place your order

A: Polymeric pad drivers like Mighty-Lok® feature a molded hook-style face that delivers strong, consistent pad engagement. It is ideal for aggressive scrubbing and stripping applications where reduced pad slippage and reliable pad retention are critical.
Mighty-Lok® requires a machine that accepts a clutch plate with a 5-inch center hole configuration.
